Dear Christian friends from the US,

Thank you so much for considering supporting Kevin and Cheryl Stauffer.

Kevin and Cheryl arrived in France late in the spring of 2002. Kevin started school for 6 months to learn the intricacies of our beautiful language. The tedious process of getting into a culture and being able to speak usually takes 2 years before one can start ministering.

But not so for Kevin and Cheryl- Kevin's skills in music are such that he got into several key ministries which he quickly changed for the better:

·Worship team. The people who have been playing for our worship service are wonderful but sometimes not qualified to play in a band. Kevin's ministry has given unprecedented quality to the music. The musicians are now much more confident and much more qualified in their ministry.

·Service. The changes in music have been welcomed by the church. Because the music is well performed, it attracts less attention to itself, and more to the songs and to the Lord.

·Outreach. Some years ago we had created a Christmas musical. Many wanted a sequel for Easter. We decided to go ahead this year, but this huge project which is intended to welcome about 1000 people could not have been realized w/o Kevin's help. He harmonized the songs on very short notice.

Often times a newly arrived missionary feels frustrated to not be able to participate in ministry for a long time. Well, Kevin may complain that he's getting too busy these days! Besides his capacities, I am deeply grateful for Kevin and Cheryl's character. They love the Lord, and keep a very good spirit despite the pressure of their work. Even if some have disagreed on minor changes, they have kept a profile worthy of the Lord.

We are thankful for their presence. We are thankful for you as you allow them to minister among us.
